Due to internal moves theyre seeking a talented and commercially soundbuyer to take ownership of one of their key product categories. This is a a varied role, where you will be involved in buying, range management, NPD, stock planning and pricing, and as a result would suit somebody keen to to take a role with more responsibilitynot shackled by the restrictions of working in a larger branded organisation.Candidates must have both some experience in sourcing and buying consumer products, as well as excellent negotiation and analytical skills. Candidates without experience in the consumer sector will may be considered if you have worked with large ranges offinished goods, not ingredients, components or materials.On a daily basis you will be analysing sales data to determine product performance in your categories and using this insight to both drive your buying strategy but also guidance on stock levels. You will be managing your category with the viewpoint of removingor improving underperforming products, and improving margins on strong products through re-sourcing and negotiation.Reporting into senior management you will be a flexible, relaxed, easy going but motivated individual. Willing and able to hold their own, as well as take guidance. All applicants must have the ability to build strong supplier relationships and communicateeffectively at all levels. Candidates currently working in a junior buying/category role with the skills and desire to take the next step will be considered.The role is office based, but does offer an incredibly flexible working day with the ability to work any hours from a 7am - 3pm, up to 9am - 6pm.
