Job Description

My Oakham based client are looking to build on their Supply Chain leadership capability, as they look to recruit this brand new Purchasing and Inventory Manager (Supply Chain Manager) position.Client DetailsMy SME client have seen steady growth throughout the last 5 years and the boom in e-commerce due to the pandemic, has further driven this success! They are owned by a multi-national organisation, who have invested heavily in UK growth since the acquisitionin 2020.Description

  • Effectively manage packaging and product stock levels, including safety stocks, MOQs and blanket orders.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure that all deliveries adhere to the company OTIF KPI, quality and presentation standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance Inc. compliance and provide regular feedback to suppliers on their performance.
  • Manage and monitor supplier relationships for existing components to ensure commerciality and uninterrupted supply.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop direct reports in the team
  • Liaise with Commercial and Manufacturing on demand and availability issues.
  • Ensure Navision / Business Central fields and data input are correct and up to date for all suppliers and products.
  • Ensure timely delivery of packaging and product in line with planned assembly schedules.
  • Report monthly price records and any changes to senior management team and ensure price files and reports are kept up to date.
  • Liaise with Compliance department regarding product quality issues.
  • Ensure Legislation-compelled packaging changes are implemented and subsequently adhered to Inc. waste calculations and WEE declarations.
  • Inbound carriers, building a strong relationship, checking that delivery is as expected.
  • Familiar with import and export processes, i.e., TSS for deliveries into NI, the required licenses for different product types to enter the UK from outside of the UK
Profile
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory planning and ERP systems, as well as operational and computer systems management.
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) capabilities required.
  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills required.
  • Experience of people management.
  • Inquisitive, detail-oriented person with strong quantitative analytical skills and innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Resilient and unmoving from main objectives, together with drive and energy to succeed.
  • Calm, has worked in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience of working in a process driven environment but also knowledgeable and a champion of change.
  • Navision super user desirable.
Job OfferThe successful candidate for this Purchasing and Inventory Manager role will be offered c. £45,000 - £55,000 plus bonus and pension contributions.
