Job Description

Are you looking for a job where you can really make a difference but also have fun We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicatedSenior Support Worker at this service supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated health needs.**37.5 Hours per week, £9.50 per hour** Vacancy Details The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and kindness. Our main priority, therefore, is to find staff with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.Could this be youYour duties will be varied and no two days will be the same. Youll be providing support forday-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment,holidays etc along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management. In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care.As aSenior Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the service.You will also berequired to participate in the on call rota.You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessmentsfor the people we support.Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager).This means youmay need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.You may also be required toundertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis. The Ideal Candidate We expect ourSenior Support Workers to share our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals.An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable, and significant experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready towork as ateam toensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfillingand safe places to live.
