We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly surgery in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an interesting and diverse healthcare environment.The role includes taking blood samples from patients, health screening, health checks, patient education and clinical administrative support.The Practice operates across three sites: New Bank Health Centre, based in Longsight; The Robert Darbishire Practice, based in Rusholme and The Whitswood Practice based in Alexandra Park. This post will be located at our Rusholme site.You will have good communication and people skills, experience of working with the public and a commitment to give a good service to a diverse population. Good administrative and organisational skills are essential along with the ability to work well within a team. In-house training and support will be provided to develop the necessary skills and achieve the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. If you already have this it will be an advantage but it is not essential. You need to have a valid driving licence and access to a car, so that you can travel between sites and visit patients at home when necessary.The post is part-time, 20 hours per week including working Saturday mornings 09:00 – 13:00. The remaining hours will be all day Friday plus one other day to be arranged.Salary will be within the range Band 2: £18,005 - £19,337 / Band 3: £19,337 - £21,142 depending on qualifications and experience.
