A secondary school based in the central Manchester area (close to Rusholme, Levenshulme and Fallowfield) is looking to recruit a confident and experienced Graduate Teaching Assistant to start with them following the summer break in September. This full time support position doesn’t have a fixed start date with the school open to taking the most ideal candidate over the course of the first few weeks between 7th September and end of the month. The successful graduate will then be booked in through Teaching Personnel in the first instance, progressing on to a school based contract from the end of January onwards if applicable.The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will report to the school’s SENCO and be given a specific cohort of students to support within mainstream classes. The role of this graduate will include general support of students with a variety of needs including concentration management and moderate learning difficulties as well as providing intervention. There will be opportunity to support in a variety of subjects with the successful graduate being able to support in their specific area of choice.Please highlight on your application where your strengths lie.Any individuals with transferable skills of working with young people who have special educational needs (SEN) are encouraged to apply now for consideration.
