Job Description

Operations AdministratorRushdenPermanentWorking hours: 08:30 - 17:00 (1 hour lunch break)Salary: £22-23,000 per annumDo you have outstanding organisational skills with a "can do" attitudeAre you passionate about providing excellent administration supportDo you have excellent accuracy and attention to detailIf YES, Wed LOVE to hear from you today!A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced OperationsAdministrator to join an established organisation based in Rushden.This role will require strong verbal and written communication ability, in addition to analytical, organisational and customer service skills. The ability to meet tight deadlines and to be detail-oriented are also essential.You will be working closely with the Warehouse and Sales team in a crucial support role, carrying out the administrative / logistical aspect of processing shipments for our wholesale client and ensuring that all orders are able to be processed and despatchedcorrectly and efficiently.Key responsibilities of the Operations Administrator:

  • Preparing for the despatch of all wholesale orders and creating necessary paperwork.
  • Ensuring that preparations are made in advance of delivery windows - including carton labels and specific packaging requirements, in accordance with the customer vendor manuals.
  • Creation of necessary documents for wholesale-related shipments and ensuring everything is ready in accordance with the vendor manual. This will involve use of MS Excel and our ERP system.
  • Using our clients various EDI platforms in order to confirm orders, and create packing lists, ASNs, and invoices.
  • Communicating with customers (both verbally and in writing), and with the buying and logistics teams to resolve queries or confirm shipping details.
  • Checking that tariff codes and correct Incoterms are used.
  • Ensuring that the B2B software platform is up-to-date with all the correct product information, liaising with our design and development teams as necessary.
  • Working closely with and supporting the Warehouse Manager to help ensure efficient and seamless despatching of all wholesale orders.
  • Other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
Key skills and experience required of the Operations Administrator:
  • Knowledge of shipping terms and requirements, especially in relation to EU and other overseas shipments.
  • At least intermediate MS Excel ability
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Understanding the importance of building customer relationships
  • Experience of using EDI systems
  • Experience of working with 3PL
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to plan ahead
  • Ability to manage workload and focus on key priorities
