Job Description

Do you have the ability to read technical drawings Have you had experience of using hand tools, including Grinders and Pillar DrillsIf you are looking for a permanent role, with great hours this could be the perfect role for you!We are recruiting for an Engineering Assembler to work for an established company based in Rushden.Salary: £24,800 increasing to £25,800 after probationHours: 7am to 3pm (some flexibility could be offered)Your main duties will include:

  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
You will have the below skills/experience:
  • Proven experience as an Assembler in an engineering environment
  • Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
  • Ability in using hand tools and machines (e.g. Linisher, Pillar Drill, Grinders.)
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
  • Good understanding and knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic would be of benefit
