General ManagerTo manage and take responsibility for two Anaerobic Digestion (AD) sites, maintaining and developing the highest safety and environmental standards. To be fully compliant, efficient and cost-effective site operations with the Integrated management system.Maintain a motivated, flexible and high performing team, balanced across the two operating sites. Commercially viable throughout the site operations, maximising long term profitability.General Manager RequirementsTo be responsible for all safety, health, environment and quality issues on both sites, leading the development of a positive safety culture, supported by the compliance team.To cost effectively manage the AD process and all site operations, managing digestate stock levels and quality, the intake, sorting and loading operation of feedstock supply. To be responsible for the sites P&L, manage and control the budget, explaining deviationsfrom the agreed budget and recommending remedial actions.To manage the safe and cost-effective maintenance of the sites, ensuring effective planned preventative maintenance systems are in place and manage control of change procedures. Directing the activities of the Site Teams and contractors, ensuring work is doneto a timely and acceptable standard. You will have people management, development and training responsibility for the whole site, including recruitment and staff appraisals.Work with the Operations Director, the Regional Operations Manager and other site teams to share, identify, develop and adopt best working practicesTo work closely with the Commercial Team planning the feedstock requirements of the sites, ensuring enough food waste on a day-to-day basis to optimise generation.To provide effective daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Operations Director and Regional Operations Manager on all aspects of the sites operations as required.
