Job Description

Job Title: Servescape Project WorkerLocation: Based in Rushden - Working in North NorthantsSalary: £23,008 per annumJob types: Full time, Fixed-Term contract until Feb 2024. Monday - Friday. 37 hours a week.About us:SERVE is a charity established in 1981, registered as a charity in 1995, and based in Rushden, Northamptonshire. We support the North Northamptonshire residents as well as lead on Countywide Projects to reduce isolation amongst the Older Persons population.SERVE support North Northamptonshire residents as well as lead on Countywide Projects to reduce isolation amongst the Older Persons population.About the Role:We are looking for a Gardener - Handy Person, who would like to make a real difference. You will lead a group of volunteers to beneficiaries homes to assist with maintaining their gardens and outdoor DIY jobs, including lawn mowing, hedge cutting, layingslabs, fitting grab rails, fitting key safes, fixing fences etcAbout you:The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident person with the ability to utilise the transport software to meet the demand of journeys in the community. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Community involvement work experience or personal life experience (possible voluntary work)
  • Experience of supporting of others
  • Skills to maintain strong relationships with existing volunteers
  • Ability to support and communicate effectively with beneficiaries
  • The flexibility and willingness to travel where needed to support the community
  • The ability to motivate and lead on community Servescape activities
Skills/Experience:
  • At least 1 years proven experience of working as a gardener - and/or handy person.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good listening skills
  • Drivers License and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office is desirable
