Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Operations ManagerLocation: Rushden, NorthamptonshireSalary: Up to £52K (DOE)The RoleThis is a new and permanent role for an Electrical Operations Manager/QSThe work is mainly on industrial sites such as Recycling, printing, packaging, manufacturing but also on farms and commercial sitesDuties and responsibilities:

  • Delivering installation projects on time and to profit
  • Manage an efficient and profitable breakdown and workshop service
  • Leading and coaching a qualified team of breakdown, installation and mechanical engineers
  • Assessment of the engineers technical skills and upskilling requirements
  • Responsible for recruitment, training and personal development of team members
  • Ensure all engineers have the correct equipment, materials and training to carry out their roles effectively and safely
  • Support sales activities including technical specification advice
  • Report on monthly and annual P&L with supporting evidence and proposals
  • Carry out site visits and produce commercially viable quotations
  • Day to day staff management
  • Undertake sit installation work
  • On site maintenance and service
  • Management of internal workshop
  • Fault finding and solution thinking
The Candidate
  • ECS card (advantageous)
  • 18th Edition is essential
  • 2391 test and inspection (advantageous)
  • NVQ level 3 / AM2 or equivalent
  • Previous experience within a similar role working in an industrial environment is essential
  • Have knowledge of and experience on control circuits
  • You will need to have experience of electrical installations on industrial sites. You will be liaising with NICEIC and be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with the electrical regulations
