Job Description

E-Commerce ManagerRushdenHours - Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 hrsSalary - Negotiable DOEOur established client based in Rushden has an exciting opportunity for an experienced E-Commerce Manager to join them on a permanent basis,Working across a variety of brands, some of which are global, you will be at the forefront of growing sales opportunities across important eCommerce channels.You will be in charge of managing how the company sells its goods on Amazon, eBay and their own website for both trade (B2B) and direct to customer (B2C) sales.There is also significant scope to grow across new countries and other deal sites and marketplaces such as Secret Sales, Groupon, Wowcher.Direct eCommerce within this business is in its infancy and the opportunities are endless, and they are looking for someone to grow with them on this journey!The Ideal CandidateThe right candidate should have a "can do" attitude and be a good communicator to all staff and in any customer/external communications. Being able to adapt quickly and be willing and able to support all areas involved in eCommerce is the key to success.This may be from marketing agencies, the internal product sourcing team, right down to their warehouse operations.

  • They are looking for their business Go To person for all things online, that when times are busy or there are issues, can identify these and will be there to help exactly where needed.
  • The new member of the team should have previously worked with Amazon (as a vendor or a seller), eBay and an eCommerce platform such as Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify.
  • Someone that is analytical, thoughtful and can support the business in making better decisions using data would be a perfect fit.
  • Attention to detail along with a marketing ability in this role are critical. You will be involved in working with large complex data sets. It will be your responsibility to spot missing opportunities from a data perspective to optimise and improve salesonline.
You will also need the following skillset...
  • Understanding of consumer goods market and online retailing.
  • Excel and analytical skills with proficient use of formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables etc
  • Amazon, eBay, eCommerce platform experience.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce software such as Channel Advisor, VOLO, Channel Grabber, Store Feeder desirable.
  • Understanding of Google and Amazon PPC/Sponsored Listings and any other online advertising channels.
  • Commercial acumen understanding profit/loss and return on investment business performance metrics
