Job Description

Teaching AssistantCompany: Empowering Learning ManchesterAre you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young learners Do you have a background working with children and a desire to support their educational journey If so, Empowering Learning Manchester is looking for a dedicated TeachingAssistant to join our team.As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the educational development of young students. You will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, providing essential support to students with various abilitiesand needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of students to provide targeted support in subjects such as English, Math, and Science.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Help students with their social and emotional development.
  • Assist in classroom management and behavior management.
  • Accompany students on field trips and other educational outings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the overall well-being and progress of students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous work experience with children is essential.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher qualifications in education or child development are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the ability to obtain one.
