Job Description

Systems Integration EngineerI’m working with a leading specialist software company, specializing in device automation and data integrity solutions. Based in Runcorn their solutions are used worldwide.They are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to join their team to support growth. Your responsibilities will include managing customer communications, leading project activities, installing hardware at customer sites, supporting end-users, workingwith integrators, and conducting site training. Youll also configure software and systems remotely and on clients sites in the UK, Europe, and possibly the USA and beyond.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead onsite project coordination and communication.
  • Use your software, electrical, and mechanical skills to install, troubleshoot, and support solutions efficiently.
  • Configure hardware devices (HMIs, PCs, PLCs, barcode scanners, etc.).
  • Diagnose Ethernet and RS232 issues with both electrical and software skills.
  • Provide customer training from basic line operation to full system training.
  • Lead discussions with a diverse customer audience.
  • Configure end-to-end solutions for integration.
  • Conduct project analysis and provide technical pre-sales support.
  • Identify and escalate issues as needed.
  • Offer customer support through a Help Desk and onsite visits.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, ideally as a project or vision systems engineer.
  • Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills.
  • Willingness to learn and use software.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and knowledge sharing.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks.
  • Prioritization and escalation abilities.
  • End user and project team training skills.
  • Strong client-facing skills.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK, Europe, and potentially worldwide (notice provided).
  • Full UK passport and UK driving license.
Not required but beneficial:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL tools.
  • Development skills in relevant languages (C#, Microsoft .NET, Lua, SQL, HTML5, Node-RED, JSON, UI Design, etc.).
  • Experience with industrial devices and communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with project management philosophies (Prince2, Agile).
  • Understanding of Vision devices and associated applications (Sick, Cognex, Omron, etc.).
