Job Description

Management AccountantRuncorn - Hybrid£45,000 A leading business based in the Runcorn area is currently recruiting for a qualified Management Accountant to be responsible for the timely delivery of periodic divisional management information, associated commentary, reconciliation ensuring timely BalanceSheet Reconciliation and reporting.Reporting to the Head of Management Accounts, you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, submitting VAT returns and preparing and submitting weekly P&Ls.This is an excellent position for someone who is confident with Excel and BI reporting to create meaningful reports and improve data analysis and maintaining controls and seeking efficiency opportunities.This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and high-growth business that also offers excellent work-life balance and hybrid working.As Management Accountant your role will comprise of:

  • Timely periodic preparation of divisional management accounting information, with associated analysis and commentary on key variances and trends.
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet items, with documentary evidence and calculations to support all balances.
  • Report each period on relevant transactional activity and robustness of controls.
  • Able to present and report on accurate and timely visibility of accruals, prepayments and other Balance Sheet control accounts.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounting transactions, and periodic reporting
  • Proactive support for the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit, liaising with external auditors, preparing Lead Schedules and reconciliations, as required.
  • Development and on-going production of capital expenditure monitoring, reporting and control
  • Maintain short and medium-term cash flow forecasting to support decision making
To apply for the position you must:
  • Be CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Confident Management Accounts experience
  • Ideally have some knowledge of current Corporation Tax and VAT legislation
  • Advanced Excel skills and experienced in additional data analysis and reporting applications
  • Have a strong track record of producing accurate management accounts and detailed balance sheet reconciliations within tight deadlines.
  • Positive communication skills, providing advice and information to senior colleagues.
  • A high attention to detail, providing accurate, timely reporting.
