Job Description

Avid personnel is currently in search of Maintenance Engineer to join our client for their team in Runcorn to work in a constantly changing environment as part of a growing company.The Role:

  • Effectively managing projects on time and within budget.
  • Active involvement with process improvements for the reduction of downtime and cost & increased efficiency of processes, utilising the tools of ABS - TPM etc.
  • Management of the day-to-day Maintenance activities in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Management and development of the departments personnel to include Multi Skilling.
  • Ensuring the level of housekeeping is maintained to a high standard
  • Effectively managing and raising the Maintenance department to the highest standards.
  • Managing the effective reduction in maintenance downtime.
  • Development of the maintenance personnel.
  • Further development of existing maintenance plans/schedules
The Candidate:
  • Has experience/appreciation for managing in a unionised environment.
  • Previous experiance as a Supervisor or managert of Skilled Tradespeople (Mechanical and Electrical Bias).
  • Problem/Fault finding & Diagnostic Skills.
  • Experience with PLC systems.
  • Ability to make reasonable & considered decisions under pressure.
  • Flexibility & ability to progress multiple projects.
  • Good communication / Man-management / Interpersonal & Leadership Skills.
  • Good organisation and time managment Skills.
