Job Description

CompanyRuncorn based manufacturing business, part of a high growth global group, have created a new role for a part or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) to join them as a Finance Business Partner.Reporting into the Commercial Head of Finance, this highly visible role has been created to provide detailed financial insight into the site. These activities are currently being lead from their European HQ, the business are eager for someone to dig into thedetail, build non-finance stakeholder relationships and support in driving the performance of the site.Key activities include;

  • Ensure a strong business partner relation with the commercial Head of the regionand sales team
  • Month end closing and controlling of sales bonuses and ensure internal controlsare adhered to and effective
  • Costing and margin analysis down to product level
  • Investigate and explain differences in actual vs budget / forecast
  • Participate in key financial processes (Forecasting & Budgeting)
  • Management reporting of plant performance for sales
  • Participate in the ERP transformation project
  • Undertake any other ad hoc projects assigned by the Head of Sales Controlling
  • Be an active member of the sales controlling team by for example, contributingwith case solutions from your region
Preferred skills required ;
  • Part of Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
  • Finance experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or commodity environment
  • Experience of dealing with different stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Very structured, detail oriented, working independently, ability to take initiative, with a can do attitude
  • Strong Excel
