Job Description

Customs Administrator

  • Location: Runcorn
  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (Dependant on experience
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm (early finish on Friday)
  • Start Date - ASAP
Search are working in partnership with a well-established company based Runcorn who provide international freight solutions and are currently recruiting for an experienced Customs Administrator to join their team.As the Customs Administrator, you will prepare and process customs documentation such as import and export declarations, invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.Key duties Include:
  • Liaise with clients, providing updates on customs clearance status, resolve any issues, and ensure a smooth import/export process.
  • Identify customs-related issues, discrepancies, or delays, and find solutions to help minimise disruptions.
  • Receive and check customer order boards to help determine origin of goods against data held.
  • Produce and process documentation such as Certificate of Origin, EUR1, ATR
  • Maintain accurate records of all customs-related transactions and documentation.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience
  • Understanding of imports and exports: 1-2 years proven experience
  • Import and Export Customs Clearance knowledge and be able to co-ordinate processes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications (outlook, word, excel etc.)
  • Excellent planning and organising capabilities, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
