Job Description

Claims Handler £18500 - £21000 DOEPreston Brook Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.30pm 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.50am - 2pmRole SummaryAs FNOL Claims Handler you will be responsible primarily for taking new motor claim notifications via telephone, email or post and ensuring all relevant details are captured accurately providing a seamless customer experience at the new claims stage.Key responsibilities

  • Maintain an ethos of continuous improvement and seek innovative ways to improve the customer journey
  • Support all strategies aimed at reducing the cost of all heads of damage specifically intervention opportunities on fault and referral opportunities on non fault
  • Ensure adherence the SLAs under the DA underpinned by quality in all aspects of performance and customer care
  • Deal with FNOL calls and other incoming enquiries from clients in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that information is captured fully and accurately to determine future handling.
  • Where the customer is non fault offer a range of services through our supply network for repair, hire and injury
  • Manage customer vehicle damage claims, and negotiation of total loss
  • Proactively seek admissions of liability from TP insurers
  • Early identification of fault claims where we are able to refer for intervention of innocent third parties
  • Achieve individual levels of performance
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced members of the team where require
  • Liaise closely with suppliers to ensure we reach a swift and efficient settlement of the claim.
  • Technical
  • Determine if a claim is covered under the policy
  • Ensure that all files are reserved accurately and promptly, ensuring the reserves fully reflect the level of damages on each file.
  • Identify potential fraudulent claims
  • Determine liability by thoroughly investigating accident circumstances and obtaining evidence in support
  • Identification of a complaint and resolution
Essential Skills

  • Previous FNOL claims experience preferred but not essential
