Job Description

Vacancy profilePosition: Sliding Head Setter OperatorLocation: RugbyHourly rate: Up to £15 P/hrShift: 6am to 4.15pm Mon-ThurThe RoleA role for a skilled and experienced Sliding Head Setter Operator has become available in the Rugby area.The position will involve Setting and Operating Star, Citizen and Tornos sliding head, mainly with Fanuc controls.The role is on a day shift Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:15pm.

  • working from engineering drawings
  • manufacturing components for the Aerospace industry
  • inspection of components using Vernier, Calipers and Micrometres.
    • The Candidate
  • A proven history working with Sliding head machines
  • Able to correctly interpret engineering drawings.
  • Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances is essential.
  • Previous work within the Aerospace industry would be beneficial, however, is not essential.
  • The candidate will have the opportunity for continuous development.
