Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a national Planning Consultancy on the hire of an Associate Planner to join the friendly and busy team in Rugby! The office works throughout the region on a wide range of projects for both public and private sector clients and across all sectors. As a senior level planning professional you will be given the opportunity to lead on projects and engage in a range of development plan, policy and development management work. This will include planning appraisals, co-ordinating pre-application and planning applications, preparing local plan representations, site promotion and appeals, EiP and public inquiry work. You will also have the opportunity to attend networking events, build up your own client base and undertake business development.You will work under the supervision of senior staff but will also be given the opportunity to lead on projects and manage external sub-consultants and junior members of staff. You will also be offered a high degree of client interface and the opportunity to take part in marketing and business development activities.Candidates should be MRTPI qualified Town Planner with 5-10 years experience, educated to undergraduate level (2:1 or above) and should have also obtained a postgraduate qualification in Planning. Experience of working in both the public and private sector would be beneficial. Candidates should be self-motivated, willing to build up their own client base and keen to make a real contribution to the growth of the company.
