Job Description

Production Manager required for a manufacturer of kitchen equipment to major fast food restaurants across the globe. As a Production Manager, you would be responsible for all the manufacturing activities within the factory. The primary duties include planning,co-ordinating and controlling all the steps in the production process to make sure products are delivered on time and within the budget. You will be experienced in metal fabrication and will be happy to travel abroad at times to facilities in Poland, Mexico,etc. This role will be based in Rugby and you will be responsible for 60 employees.Production Manager - Metal Fabrication / Equipment Position Overview

  • Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
  • Creating and executing daily, weekly and annual production schedules
  • Procuring factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
  • Striving to reduce expenses and increase productively across all product lines
  • Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself
  • Implementing all the companies policies and procedures
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to Senior Management
  • Monitoring productively rate, standards and quality control
  • Training and coaching the production Operatives and the management team.
  • Implementing safety, health, and environment and quality requirements.
Production Manager - Metal Fabrication / Equipment Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of retail maths and the ability to calculate wholesale costs, resource requirements planning (RRP) and margins
  • Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of plant management or operations experience within the hospitality sector.
  • Experience within a role as Manufacturing Manager or Production Supervisor with the ability to demonstrate leadership.
  • People Management skills
  • Ability to operate all manufacturing or production line equipment
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing
  • Understanding of process flow and continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • Batchelors degree in Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or level 3 or 5 Certificate in Operations Management.
Production Manager - Metal Fabrication / Equipment Position Remuneration
  • Salary £50,000-£65,000
