We run our business by these values and they are reflected in all of our roles.Job purpose:Our Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager of the Hub by managing the warehouse operation across various shifts to ensure delivery of a safe, legally compliant and cost efficient environment performing to operational Service Level Agreements.About the Role:You’ll be joining our business as a key member of the Hub Management team. Working alongside your colleagues in the Warehousing and Trunking Management teams, you will follow all recognised hub systems and processes, identify and develop new systems and processes to meet the needs of the business, manage internal staff, maintain and develop external customer relationships and deliver a professional service to our clients. This role carries responsibility for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with customers, both internal and external. The focus is to make a significant contribution to the development and improvement of these services and to the overall operation.You will proactively seek ways to improve cost, service & operational efficiency. You will ensure all resources including third party agency workers are managed, planned and controlled to achieve the agreed service levels.The key responsibilities will be the performance of the Inbound, Outbound, Manual and International & Returns Process Managers whilst on shift as well as shift performance, compliance, client service levels, health and safety, employee engagement. In your role you will have accountability for shift costs and will need to demonstrate strong cost leadership by sending detailed shift reports, root causing failed KPI’s supported evidence and an action plan to improve.You will be responsible for motivating your staff, problem solving on a day to day basis and operationally. You’ll have direct accountability and budgetary control for circa 200 employees as well as responsibility for all warehouse related Health & Safety and quality audits including risk assessments and safe systems of work and the warehouse quality sortation and performance against MI measurement.This is a key role in our Rugby Hub and you must be an effective man and budget Manager to ensure that we carry on delivering an excellent service to our Clients.Experience/Qualifications:Preferred experience/qualifications:
