Job Description

Opus People Solutions are seeking a Lead Accountant on a full time basis, on a 1 year fixed term contract in Rugby.This could be a newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA etc.) looking for support to step-up or an experienced accountant who is looking for a change and wants to be part of a new exciting and supportive team.This roles works on a hybrid basis and to this organisation that means 2 days in the office, 3 days at home.Day to day, with the support of another Lead Accountant, you will be tasked with:

  • The annual budget setting process.
  • Treasury Management.
  • Manage and co-ordinate revenue and capital budget monitoring, including preparation of reports for Leadership Team and Committees.
  • Provide a proactive internal financial advisory service.
  • All VAT implications in respect of payments made and income received.
  • The development of financial reporting and monitoring tools for Budget Managers.
  • Co-ordinate the capital budgets and programme, including financing and all associated balance sheet and asset management transactions.
