Job Description

Job Title: Alcohol WorkerLocation: WarwickshireShift Pattern: Monday - Friday (9AM - 5PM)Type of Contract: 3 months Temporary to PermanentSalary: £15-£19 per hourAbout the client:Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a long standing registered charity who began life in the 80s as a drug resource scheme, filling a gap by providing walk in services for people experiencing problems with drugs - needle exchange, woundcare, counselling, advocacy and support with housing and employment.Understanding peoples needs, creating motivation to change, removing barriers and developing solutions to long-term problems has become the underlying driver of our work over the last 30 years.The Ideal Candidate:You will be responsible for delivery of the service within co-locations including schools, YJS, youth clubs, Social Care as well as other family and community hubs identified in the service model. Health and Wellbeing Workers hold a generic caseload of youngpeople presenting with, or affected by anothers substance misuse. They offer a holistic service with an accessible no wrong door approach. Activities include; Universal, Targeted and Specialist services. Workers also take part in the Duty System, providingtelephone support for professionals, young people, parents and carers and managing the text messaging service.Expectations of the role:

  • Actively work towards developing and maintain effective working relationships both within and outside the service
  • Carry out Health Screens and holistic Health Assessments on Young People that are accessing the service
  • Prioritise own workload within agreed objectives and deciding when to refer to other agencies
  • Seek the opportunity for collaborative working and proactively initiate and sustain such relationships
