Job Description

Monday to Friday 9.00-5.00 (35 hours per week)£25,000 - £28,000PermanentWe have a great opportunity to join a well-established membership organisation as a finance officer at their offices in Rugby. You will be able to work from home for one day per week.As finance officer, you will be responsible for managing the daily finance operation for the company, providing a first-class service to the directors, clubs and members. You will be managing the workload for the finance assistants and ensuring the departmentmeets all deadlines.Duties involved:

  • Record all BACS, cheques, and credit card receipts received
  • Post all sales ledger receipts to the relevant accounts
  • Complete bank paying in slips and take to the bank
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Sales Ledger
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Post invoices
  • Produce statements
  • Receive credit card statements and analyse the expenditure
  • Petty cash - overall responsibility
  • VAT return online digital
  • Bank accounts
  • Month end process
Skills & qualifications required:
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent
  • Sage
  • AAT part/full
  • At least 3 years accounting experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Outlook and Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Charts, desirable)
  • Experience working within a membership organisation
  • Annual forecast and planning for all essential deadlines, monthly accounts, rebates, quarterly VAT returns, year end accounts
