Job Description

Gleeson Recruitment Group are exclusively supporting a highly acquisitive distribution business to recruit a Regional Finance Manager into the team. Based in Rugby with a salary of up to £50,000 this is a fantastic opportunity for a finalist or qualifiedaccountant to step into a growing business and develop into a Finance Business Partner.The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation and production of management accounts for two sites, with the chance to take full ownership of processes and drive improvements across the business. The company are highly acquisitive and havea consistent growth trajectory, offering fantastic potential for the right individual to join them on this journey.Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, preparing, and producing accurate management accounts and weekly transport/warehouse reports for each business within the sector.
  • Continuously reviewing and implementing improved financial control procedures, systems, and processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of each Accounts Department.
  • Providing timely and accurate information and reports to enable the Senior Management Team and departments to make informed strategic and operational decisions, highlighting any areas of concern.
  • Contributing to the formulation of budgets and forecasts to meet each businesss and group financial and strategic targets.
  • Providing advice and analysis on operational efficiencies, potential projects, and new contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget.
  • Developing and ensuring the production of Warehouse efficiency, labour utilisation, and other sector Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive forward the business and support overall operational performance.
  • Providing financial information to site operations and management, actively participating in the management team to make considered and structured decisions about ongoing and future operations.
  • Maintaining a regular site presence at operations covered by the role, building relationships, and offering any required financial advice and support.
About You:
  • Qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience in FMCG preferred
  • Great Excel skills with the ability to create accurate forecasts
  • Keen to add value and drive improvements
