Job Description

Credit Controller, Rugby£25,000Temp - Perm converting after 3 months.Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8.30am - 5.00pm & Fri - 8.30am - 3.45pmCredit ControlRole:The main role of Credit Controller will be to open customer accounts, check credit limits and chase monies due each month.Credit Controller Duties:

  • Open new credit accounts & proformas when required to do so, checking trade references, and performing credit checks.
  • Meet Cash and Debtor Day targets set by the company
  • Working effectively and proactively within the parameters of the Company Credit Insurance policy
  • Ensure debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met
  • Send Notice of Intention and reminder letters when accounts become overdue/due for payment
  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, e-mail & letter within agreed timescales
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Respond promptly and completely to client and internal queries
  • Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avoid indebtedness.
  • Undertake account reconciliations as required
  • Other duties as delegated from time to time by management
  • Issue Trading Histories when needed
  • Re-new credit limits when required.
  • Process card payments as required.
  • Holiday cover for Manufacturing ledgers - chasing overdue payments
