Job Description

Location: RoystonPAYE Rate: £14.00 per hourDuration: 3-4 month contract with the view to be extendedStart: ASAPKey skills required: Wiring, Precision Assembly, Soldering, Mechanical Assembly, Electro-Mech Assembly, 3-phase, High VoltageOverviewAre you an experienced Wirer looking for an immediate startIf so, dont go anywhere - an opportunity for a talented Wirer / Electronics Technician has arisen at a market-leading design and manufacturing company.The company itself is a high-technology, technical manufacturing company that has seen extensive growth in its order book in recent years supplying to a variety of industries, including Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Mass Manufacturing.In a busy manufacturing team, your Electrical Assembly Technician role will see you work within the production department, working on cutting edge electro-mechanical products.Wirer Requirements:

  • Previous experience of electronic assembly
  • Experienced in electro-mechanical assembly of high technology products
  • Previous experience of PCB assembly and soldering - a mixture of cable soldering, wiring and electro-mechanical assembly is essential
  • The Assembler should have experience of building small sub-assemblies and complete units
  • Ability to work to fine tolerances and use small hand-tools is required
  • Proven ability to accurately follow assembly instructions and build procedures is essential
Wirer Requirements:
  • The Assembler will be required to build sub-assemblies and complete assemblies
  • Working from drawings and written instructions, candidates will need to be able to follow these accurately to build assemblies
  • PCB Population, soldering and quality checking.
  • Candidates will be required to assemble a wide variety of technical and scientific equipment
  • The Electrical Assembly Technician may be required to do brazing work on other assemblies as well
