Job Description

Trainee Machine OperatorLocation: Melbourn, RoystonSalary: £8.50 - £11.50 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)Job Type: Permanent, full time and part time hours available.Etills Ltd is a successful manufacturing company based in Melbourn, Royston, specialising in plastic rotational molding of bulk containers and spill containment.We have a vacancy for a trainee machine operator (Rotational Molder), who can make a significant contribution to the ongoing growth of the company and can achieve the standards required in the following areas:

  • Health & Safety – adheres to work processes and procedures
  • Quality – actively looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Productivity – achieves targets and takes pride in work
  • Ambition – has ambition and a “can do” attitude
    • Responsibilities of the Trainee Machine Operator:
  • Sets up machines and equipment used for plastic rotational molding
  • Checks setup of molding machines, including proper mold alignment and temperatures.
  • Follows all appropriate safety regulations.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Works on the assembly of rotationally molded products if required.
  • Maintains working area, keeping it clean and tidy.
  • Carries out other factory tasks as required.
    • Requirements of the Trainee Machine Operator:
  • The chosen candidate will be required to regularly lift and /or move up to 20kg.

  • Follows instructions and responds to management direction;
  • Takes responsibility for own actions;
  • Uses/shows Initiative and volunteers readily;
