Job Description

This role is with a forward-thinking company who design, develop, and manufacture revolutionary digital printing technology and equipment. Their focus is on digital printing of metal packaging, with plans to broaden into other markets in the future. As part of their ongoing growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Test Engineer.Test Engineer Role:The role will be to test and qualify new builds of machinery that form an integral part of a complex electro-mechanical system that they sell worldwide. You will need to be able to lead evaluations, diagnostics and any further subsystems in preliminary build, and overall build qualification in final systems build. You will be working alongside and assisted by the Research & Design, Engineering, Service and Production teams to validate the final product.Test Engineer Requirements:

  • Experience testing and qualifying complex electro-mechanical machinery systems.
  • Have a scientific or technical background (manufacturing/ and or process delivery)
  • An interest in a range of test disciplines; electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, micron-precision mechanics, ultra-precision fluidics and complex, fast-moving machinery.
  • Relevant education in the following: Electronics, Systems automation, Process control or Robotics.
  • Understanding of requirements associated with operating complex machinery.
  • Previous experience in the use and application of test equipment, and associated writing and execution of relevant test procedures
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagrams.
  • Attention to detail is prudent as you will be working with micron levels of precision.
  • Extensive experience being hands-on in a production test or hardware debugging environment.
  • Experience with 1-phase and 3-phase designs
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills, lastly the ability to thrive under pressure.
