Job Description

Technical Applications SpecialistPermanent, Full-Time Cambridge area, UKREED Scientific are looking for a bright, organised person with a scientific background on behalf of one of the most exciting Biotech companies in the Cambridge area. The company supports their customers in taking scientific discoveries and inventions and developingthem into commercially successful products. If you want to work in a dynamic, friendly and seriously cool workplace, this is for you. =DThe ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge of lipid nanoparticles, their synthesis and applications, and will have a solid grasp of technical details. An awareness and understanding of key applications of these materials is desirable. They place a highpremium on a keen willingness to learn in a fun, innovative and fast-paced environment.Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Applications support
  • Product demos, installation and training (both remote and on customer sites)
  • Participation/presentations at conferences and customer workshops globally
  • Training distributor and sales teams
  • Creation of content for sales support and marketing including webinars, technical and application notes and other documents
  • Running experiments to build applications
  • Working with partners to build applications and writing up their data
Skills required:
  • Self-starting individual with drive and passion and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Relationship and customer management skills, always delivering exceptional customer service
  • Education to Masters level in a relevant subject such as chemistry or biology
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and application issues
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with a high level of attention to detail in written content.
  • Excellent phone, email and presentation skills
  • Excellent scientific, organisational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 50% of working time
