Royston offers a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties. The Role:As a Level 3 Qualified support worker you will be highly involved in personal care, this is supportingour young people with all aspects of personal hygiene including toileting, dressing and maintain their personal appearance.As well as supporting with their medical needs you will also get involved in helping with the young adults therapies such as reboundtherapy or hydrotherapy in our newly renovated pool. We also have sensory gardens, forestry school and rooms dedicated to art, music and much more.Independence is prompted wherever is possible, the adults will often run their own days with what they liketo do, so you could be helping make things in the sites enterprise scheme, going on shopping trips, taking part in forestry lessons or even going to the pub!It is a tough yet totally rewarding role. Ultimately, we are looking for people with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the children and young adults that we work with. Whats important to us is that you can demonstrate theright attitude to make a differenceEssential Qualification:

  • Level 3 Health & Social Care
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
  • Experience and knowledge of working with young adults with complex needs and additional behaviours
  • Superb communication skills and patience
  • Highly organised
  • Resilient with a robust and positive nature
  • Ability to work on a rota pattern- please note that this will typically mean working every other weekend
  • Full training and continued support
  • Opportunity to study the Level 3 diploma in HSC which will be funded by us!
  • Part time hours available if required
  • 30 days holiday including bank holidays- Increasing yearly up to 33 days per year
