Job Description

Supplier Quality EngineerWe are a global, high value low volume manufacturer of sophisticated capital equipment growing at a rapid rate. Due to this growth, we have a newly created role for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will manage our UK suppliers and ensure that they plan and control their manufacturing processes effectively to guarantee the supply of defect free parts. the Supplier Quality Engineer will work continually with our suppliers auditing and managing their processes, identifying new suppliers as necessary to support product demand, ensuring supplier compliance with regulatory requirements and those of the organisation and developing and implementing a vendor rating system. In return, we offer an attractive salary of up to £38,000 plus attractive benefits.We invite applications from Supplier Quality Engineers with the following attributes:

  • 4 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience with field based experience of auditing and managing suppliers
  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc. preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to travel to supplier sites, mainly in the UK but occasionally overseas
