It is a truly unique and inspiring provision providing education, care and integrated therapeutic support for children and young people age 9-19years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders.Being a small but growing school the contribution that every team member makes a significant difference.As part of the Meldreth team you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life and life chances for our students both now and for their future. If you want to make a real difference and have a positive impact on the learning experience and qualitylife for young people with profound and complex needs this is the school for you.The Role:We are looking for a passionate and skilled teacher to join our education team where we are always striving to provide the highest quality of education and outcomesfor our young people. It will be your role to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated learning through a broad and balanced curriculum, with the aim of ensuring that every young person is able to achieve their very best possible outcomes and fullpotential for future life.It will be your responsibility will be to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners within your class.As we are determined to becomean outstanding service, we will require you to develop your own skill set, and have an up to date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework within which teachers work. We will of course support you on thisand any areas you wish to develop in.Youll also be expected to supervise the work of any staff, who are assigned to work with your class.Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Knowledge and personal experience of disabilities and surrounding issues.
