Job Description

S&OP PlannerLocation - RoystonContract - 2 x 6 months (Temp to Perm) 1x 12 Months (Maternity Leave)Rate - £23.00 per hour PAYEManage short to medium term end-to-end S&OE/S&OP supply strategy, and planning and set stock keeping unit (SKU) level inventory target.Co-ordinate and maintain the European and Global Raw Material Forecasting Models, to drive raw material qualification projects and to highlight raw material risk issues and to develop mitigation actions. The role requires Excel modelling and the planning and managing of meetings and projects.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESS/OP Planning

  • Drive monthly S/OP Planning process for EU sites by running and chairing S/OP meetings as per defined cycle.
  • Running site S/OP model to generate optimal supply plan based on the sales forecast received from Commercial.
  • Resolve significant and/or critical supply-demand imbalances or develop plans to do so.
  • Identify potential supply problems and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner and present possible solutions.
  • Working with sites to ensure S/OP model data is accurate and generating an accurate plan.
  • Run S/OP scenarios to determine options for business plan.
  • Work with finance to cost impact of various S/OP scenarios.
  • Manage and maintain accurate S/OP model.
  • Integrate Slurry and washcoat planning into S/OP cycle.
  • S/OE Planning
  • Generate a weekly SKU level plan for the sites to execute that meets customer requirements, inventory requirements.
  • Work with the sites to develop a deliverable plan.
  • Monitor and work with site to improve BTT (Build to Target).
  • Work with Customer Service to ensure customer priorities are met.
  • Work with Material planners to create a plan that considers any material, substrate constraints.
  • Monitor daily progress of plan and ensure it accurately reflects actual supply situation.
  • Inventory
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory models.
  • Set inventory targets for region.
  • Monitor performance to inventory targets.
  • Work with sites to manage levels of stock obsolescence.
  • Capacity Planning
  • Work on developing and improving washcoat/slurry and other bottleneck processes into planning cycles.
  • Develop Long term capacity planning process to factor in new quotations and allocation of capacity to commercial projects.
  • Other
  • Any other duties which are within the employees skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
  • SCOPE
  • Role will cover all sites in the EU Region (6 sites)
  • The role will set the scope of the capacity/supply plan for the region over an 18 month & 3-5 year period
  • The role will define the production requirements for the site over different time periods, from weekly Rough-cut capacity planning to 18 months longer term capacity modelling
  • The role will run models and scenarios to facilitate tactical decisions required to meet inventory targets and OPEX costs, which will have a significant bearing on the regional performance
  • This role will significantly impact and influence success of the S&OP plan in terms of final execution timings.
  • Will impact regional working capital and toll costs.
  • The role will set finished goods inventory targets for the region.
  • Role will also have interaction with sites and with other regions (US and Asia) and sector stakeholders.
  • The role interacts with most business functions, including, Commercial, Operations, Technology, Procurement and Finance.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with other functional leads.
  • Will require chairing and running cross function meetings and business processes
  • Present S/OP to various stakeholders at different levels of business and within different functions
  • Monitor performance of supply and initiates resolution
  • Analyse data and sources to identify problematic areas
  • Will drive improvements, consistency through the supply chain.
