Job Description

Rapid Prototype Technician - Silicone Tooling Specialist Location: HertfordshireSalary: 27K - 31KFull Time - Permanent The Role:My client is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Workshop Technician with a speciality in Silicone Tooling preparation to join their expanding Rapid Prototyping team. Reporting to the Senior RP Technician - Team Leader, you will be assistingwith all aspects involved in producing rapid prototypes to customer specifications. Working in the Rapid Prototype team, you will process orders to a high standard. Their customers expect fast turnarounds, so you will work with your colleagues to meet strictdeadlines.As a Rapid Prototype Technician, you will need

  • Master model preparation and painting
  • Creating Silicon tooling - vents and feeds
  • Vacuum casting processes - mix resins / calculate material to be used / mix colours
  • Clean vacuum cast mouldings to a high standard for presentation to customers
  • Work on all 3D printed parts to finish to customers specification
In addition, you:
  • Will have a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Will be able to take any part and create a silicone tool and cast a part without any assistance
  • Will be able to work under pressure
  • Will be well organised
  • Will be flexible as you will be required to complete additional workshop duties not related to silicone tooling
  • Must be able to work according to their company values
