Job Description

Purchasing and Logistics LeadHybrid Working (Home based with regular meetups at coworking spaces across Hertfordshire & Cambridgeshire).A little about HolewiseHolewise enables a true Safe System of Work for Holes and Penetrations on construction sites. We provide a full ecosystem for health and safety of holes and their associated covers, with the inspection and compliance required.The Holewise System = Engineered Cover + Intelligent NFC Badge+ Software ApplicationWe are a small start-up, incorporated in July 2020. Weve been busy shaping our hardware and software and were preparing to launch by the end of the year.What you can expect This is a pivotal time for Holewise which means its a great opportunity for someone bright, ambitious, whos keen to make a contribution which will shape a new business as it becomes established.We have worked closely with our target clients and expect a sharp take up in the UK construction industry before Holewise expands globally. Reporting directly to the Founder and Managing Director your role as Purchasing and Logistics Lead will be variedwith the opportunity for you to grow with the business, product range and customer base. Working closely with the MD, youll have the chance to build an unmatched understanding of the business, and be well placed when new positions arise to develop your careeras Holewise expands.Were a small team and naturally our roles are often fluid and fast paced. Youll be comfortable learning on the job, building your own knowledge across Holewises departments, and problem solving with the team to achieve key strategic milestones together.Your contribution will be fundamental to achieving our vision and driving our growth. Youll be responsible for:

  • Establishing and managing the processing of customer orders using electronic systems including Xero, FreshSales, and Shopify as well as emailed customer orders. Youll work with your colleagues to fulfil customer orders/issues/returns smoothly and meetingagreed KPIs.
  • Inventory and logistics management between key suppliers for all Holewise system components, managing supplier relationships and visiting sites to maintain processes and quality as necessary. Overseeing picking, packing and distribution will be your responsibility.
  • Providing internal invoicing and finance function for the business including book keeping and credit control. This includes subscription charging models as well as possible invoice factoring.
  • Act as our Holewise super user for a small set of systems which will provide the primary control for all key business functions.

As someone who is self-motivated and not daunted by ambiguity, youll be happy to take on work which might be unfamiliar toyou. Well rely on your honest approach and willingness to take responsibility for a task; while encouraging you to ask for help when you reach a blocker.Suitable candidates may be from a finance, procurement or logistics background with a good understanding of associated software packages, highly numerate and skilled with Microsoft Excel. Well be looking for you to establish how we drive value from oursystems and processes as the business scales therefore this role would suit someone whos curiosity develops into great solutions. Youll likely be process orientated with a strong attention to detail, with an agile approach.
