Production Build technician12 month contract£15 per hourSouth CambridgeYoh Solutions have an amazing opportunity for Production Build Technician to work for our client; a very successful Bio-Tech Manufacturing company, in this position will be joining their manufacturing group. The Manufacturing Team produces our client’s portfolio of smaller, high value bioprocess systems to the highest level of efficiency, quality and cost. Our client has significantly expanded their product range and continue to look for high quality staff to join their manufacturing team. The Production Build Technicians manage high quality build in an efficient manner, making this role an integral part of the manufacturing process.Key Job Tasks & Responsibilities:• Work hands on as part of the assembly team to assemble, wire and test products.• Follow a defined process accurately.• Work within the Production E0• ngineering team and other internal functions to continuously identify design, process and efficiency improvements.• Ensure that production documentation is correctly recorded and is kept up to date.• Effective communication with the Cell Leader(s) to maintain maximum efficiency of the Cell(s).• Work as part of the team to ensure work is completed to required timescales, output and quality targets.• Involved in the implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing philosophies.• Batch release.Qualifications:Apprenticeship/City & Guilds/ONC/BTech or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering subject.ExperienceMandatory:• Experience of working in a technical manufacturing, production or assembly environment.• Knowledge in mechanical assembly techniques.• Understanding of mechanical fault finding.Advantageous:• Experience of working in a cell-type manufacturing environment.• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.• Understanding of electrical fault finding.• Experience of working in a commissioning/test environment.Key Job SkillsEssential:• Able to read and understand basic mechanical drawings.• Mechanical build skills.• Able to skilfully use a wide range of engineering hand tools.• Able to fit and route wiring harnesses.• Able to follow a defined process without deviation.• Able to inspect and identify faulty components against a drawing.• Dextrous.• Able to communicate at all levels effectively and ask for help when necessary.• Professional/conscientious manner of working.• Safety conscious.• Able to work on own initiative.• Team worker.• Focussed approach to tasks.Desirable:• Able to read and understand basic electrical drawings.• Able to problem solve when required.• PC literate.• Able to complete required documentation in a timely manner.• Good documentation skills.• Ability to self-prioritise.• Enthusiastic approach to tasks.• Flexible and confident.
