TEC Partners are recruiting a PCR Technician for a leading IVD Diagnostic company to support their product development of a next generation molecular diagnostics platform.This position is for an early-stage molecular diagnostics company who are developing a next-generation platform that enables rapid detection of viruses such as COVID-19 and Influenza in just five minutes, directly at the point of care.PCR Lab Technician role:Reporting to the Assay Development Manager, you will be part of the lab biology team, working to evaluate the performance of their rapid RT-PCR assaysas they undertake development and transfer to manufacture activities. You will work across standard andnext generation technologies, collaborating with other science and engineeringteamsto deliver performance evaluation data and contribute to system improvement and product development. You will be formulating and preparing reagents for assay development andundertaking quality control checks. You will perform PCR on standard and next generation instrumentation and be hands on in the Validation and Quality Control required for regulatory approval of afirstproduct.This role will be required to support the biology team across a range of activities including platform and assay development with a strong focus on PCR. The role-holder will work alongside research scientists and technicians to ensure laboratory facilitiesrun efficiently and reagents are prepared and controlled to the highest standards. You must be passionate about delivering exceptional standards across all activities and will take pride in your attention to detail.
