Job Description Skycraft Propeller is seeking an experienced engineer capable of producing consistent high quality engineering work of a varied nature involving mechanical engineering practices and allied project management. Skycraft is an approved aviation production &maintenance company established in 1989. Our core activity is specialist aircraft propeller manufacture, sales & service for a worldwide customer base. The company’s business status is based on a long standing relationship with Hoffmann Propeller in Germanyand their diverse product range, together with specialisation in production of historic British, German and Russian aircraft propellers.The engineering work scope includes routine maintenance and construction projects of propellers for both historic military and civilian light aircraft. The applicant is required to have a broad engineering background which can be applied to our varied activitiesand some component overhaul experience would be advantageous. Full training will be provided on the products and associated activities, our sub-contract component manufacturing and finishing techniques. The workshop activities require good engineering skills,including computer literacy, quality assurance compliance and an awareness of human factors. The applicant should have worked in an environment where it was important to meet deadlines.The starting salary will depend on experience in the range of £30k-£45k per year with 28 days paid annual leave.
