Job Description

Robert Walters are delighted to be working with our client, a successful growing SME business based near Royston, on the recruitment of a great new Management Accountant role with bonus and study support after probation. This is an excellent opportunityfor someone who has studied AAT or at early stages of ACCA or CIMA.Robert Walters are delighted to be working with our client, a successful growing SME business based near Royston, on the recruitment of a great new Management Accountant role with bonus and study support after probation. This is an excellent opportunityfor someone who has studied AAT or who is at early stages of studying ACCA or CIMA.The Role:This Management Accountant role based near Royston wil be responsible for month end, transactional postings and balance sheet reconciliations. Duties will include:

  • Posting of supplier invoices on a daily basis, which involves chasing the set up of new vendors and Purchase Orders in a timely manner.
  • Bank reconciliation on a daily basis to ensure that Payables and Receivables Ageing Reports are always up to date.
  • Monitoring of payments to avoid late payments to suppliers, which also includes early notice to management of potential late payments.
  • Support external vendor with VAT Return Fillings and Corporate Income Tax Assessments.
  • Foreign Exchange Rate input and management of the Foreign Exchange Rate process in the Business Central system
  • Preparation of cost and revenue accruals.
  • Validation of allocated Jobs and Dimensions in the P&L.
  • Journal preparation and Journal Entries posting in Business Central including posting of payroll and inter-company invoices.
  • Reconciliation/matching of entries in Microsoft Business Central.
  • Uploading and saving supporting documents for all transactions in Business Central
  • Closing of VAT Entries in accordance with VAT returns submitted.
  • Production of month end P&L with relevant breakdowns until the 6th of the following month.
  • Assist with the preparation of the companys statutory accounts and support the year end external audit process.
  • Monthly Analysis of Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Constant focus on process improvement, automation and making good use of ERP capabilities.
Profile:We are looking for someone who has studied AAT or has started the early stages of ACCA/CIMA and who has some experience of accurals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.Experience of Microsoft Business Central or MS Dynamics is an advantage.On Offer:On offer is a salary of circa £30,000 to £36,000 plus bonus and study support after probation.Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
