Job Description

We are partnering exclusively with a well known, established organisation based in Royston. Due to recent success and growth and a busy workload, they are looking for someone to join them on a long temp temporary basis (with potential to become permanent) as a Logistics Administrator to start ASAP.Client DetailsYou will be responsible for ensuring all goods are picked, packed, and shipped out on time each day. You will also be responsible for receiving, checking, and putting away stock. You will be part of a small Order Processing team in Royston responsible for processing approximately 500 shipments a month. Your time will be split between the office, packing room and a storage lab.DescriptionAs a Shipping Administrator your key responsibilities will be:

  • Pick/Pack Customer Orders and Spares requests
  • Coordinate and book shipments with freight forwarders
  • Process documents related to freight forwarding such as customs clearance, invoices for payments of duty, etc.
  • Track and record all imports/ exports/ shipments in Excel
  • Monitor and collect shipment statistics for in and outbound flows
  • Receive goods at the loading/ receiving dock
  • Ensure the appropriate locations within the warehouses for received goods
  • Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
  • Work closely with the Order Handling/Processing team
  • Review and purchase packing materials
  • Review expiry dates on stock/ carry out stock rotation
  • Assist with purchasing of stock
  • ProfileThe ideal candidate:
  • Able to work in Royston full time (Monday to Friday)
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Competent IT skills
  • Experience in logistics or distribution would be ideal
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be comfortable getting involved with some elements of manual labour
  • Job OfferA competitive hourly rate, paid weekly, and a long term temporary assignment (minimum 6 months) with potential to become permanent. Required skills
