TEC Partners are recruiting a Laboratory Coordinator for a leading IVD Diagnostic company to support their product development of a next generation molecular diagnostics platform.This position is for an early-stage molecular diagnostics company who are developing a next-generation platform that enables rapid detection of viruses such as COVID-19 and Influenza in just five minutes, directly at the point of care.Laboratory Coordinator role:Reporting to the Assay Development Manager, you will be part of the in-house biology team, working to ensure the new laboratories and facilities operate to the highest standards. This role is responsible for ensuring that laboratories remain well stockedand orderly and to support the biology team in reagent preparation and experimental execution. The role will work with research scientists to source and prepare reagents, ensure consumable availability and ensure routine maintenance of the facilities and instrumentsis undertaken.This role requires someone who is organised and efficient and can communicate well across the team and the wider organisation. The role holder should be motivated to constantly improve the facilities and take pride in supporting the development of new technologies.The role will include researching and purchasing new equipment to expand the Laboratory capabilities and to become an experienced user of the equipment such that training or support can be provided to the wider team.The Laboratory Co-ordinator will undertake a wide range of activities and will require interaction with suppliers and service providers. Internally, the role will support the Health and Safety Committee to ensure safe working environments are maintainedand contribute to Quality Management by ensuring processed and facilities adhere to the necessary standards.Laboratory Coordinator requirements:Essentials:
