Job Description

In this role, the Assembly Technician is Accountable to the Assembly Manager for building amplifiers and/or their sub-assemblies, connection cable assemblies and cooling units to the required specification within the allocated time and to the current companyquality standards.Responsiblities:

  • Reporting any near miss or potentially hazardous activity within the team to senior management.
  • Informing the Assembly Manager when the work-to list or task is completed, and no further job scheduled
  • Completing essential functions and duties to produce product of excellent quality on time and to the required specifications.
  • Assemble amplifiers in accordance with the design specification.
  • Assemble connection cable assemblies in accordance with the design specification
  • Building cooling units
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Minimum C level GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent is essential
  • Apprenticeship or City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
  • Proven experience as a wire person for high voltage / high current assemblies
  • Able to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
