Job Description

As the EC&I Engineer you will carry out automation fault finding, breakdown and Preventative Maintenance repairs on equipment to ensure equipment downtime is minimised to ensure achievement of the production plan. The role is a plant-based position workingwithin the production areas and is responsible for maintenance led activities within the Royston Hydrogen Technologies manufacturing site - part of a Top Tier COMAH facility. Working within a fast paced, highly automated, and complex manufacturing environmentto produce cutting edge products in a rapidly growing market. This role will be joining Hydrogen Technologies during the establishment and development of the Royston manufacturing site, which will produce new technology to support a rapidly growing manufacturingenvironment as the Hydrogen Technologies business continues to evolve towards high volume manufacture and commercial success. This is a shift role and during the establishment and start-up phase of the facility, there is an expectation regarding the degreeof flexibility required. As the facility becomes more established, the working patterns will be adapted to meet the business requirements. Employees in shift roles will be communicated to regarding the changes by their team leader / manager and reasonablenotice of such changes will be provided. Your responsibilities: Providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilledservice on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Improve of OEE through the application of TPM and other Lean tools increasing the mean time between failures (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR). To analyse equipment reliability.To generate ideas for solving chronical issues related with equipment on lines, coating lines and ink manufacture for HT. To initiate solutions, new projects and projects for improvements. Tocarry out investigations in safety and breakdown events via 4CP,RCAtechniques. Participatein Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Programs to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). To work in a safe manner and in such a way that equipment downtime is minimised. Operatedas a member of the maintenance team, contributingideas and practical solutions toproblems. Tocontribute during developing solutions andimprovements. Toensure all the Automation infrastructure is in good working order Maintain records of changes to software and hardware. Ensure all PLC systems are in goodworking order. Carry out 5S duties. Royston site is currently an Upper Tier COMAH site and this role may be required to take on additional Incident Controller or Health and Safety Responsibilities. Requirements for the role: Qualified to HNC in Mechanicaland/or Electrical Engineering (Desirable) Knowledge of Lean/CI tools (5S, TPM, RCA, PDCA) Familiar with process automation equipment COMPEX EX 1-4, 5-6, & 11 (Desirable) Experience working in a highly regulated COMAH environment (Desirable) Knowledge of automotivequality management systems e.g. IATF 16949 (Desirable) Experience/knowledge of Atex/DSEAR maintenance inspection requirements (Desirable) IEE 18th Edition or equivalent(Desirable) How you will be rewarded: We offer a competitive compensation and JM Elementsbenefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and 25 days annual leave (varies for shift-based roles).
