Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Development Scientist to join a Biotech company based near Cambridge. As a Development Scientist, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing projects in collaboration with the lab team. Your primary responsibilitieswill include project completion and ensuring the accuracy of results within specified timelines.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical work packages within defined projects in the relevant technology area, aligning with company strategy and guidelines.
  • Actively participate in external expert groups and academic networks to stay updated on advancements in the technology area.
  • Contribute to the exploration of your expertise area, generating new cutting-edge knowledge.
  • Manage, train, and provide support for Associate Scientists and technicians as needed.
  • Design, conduct, and report experiments to the rest of the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Hold an academic degree in Science, preferably in biology.
  • Possess 4 or more years of relevant work experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Have industry experience in life sciences or pharmaceuticals, with a proven track record of working with bioreactors or in bioprocessing.
  • Possess strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, enabling you to solve complex problems effectively.
  • Previous experience in managing people is desired.
