Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing international FMCG business as an Account Manager on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Sales team, and will act mainly as the administrative liaison between the internationalfactories/ production planners/ customer service teams and the retailer/ client.Client DetailsThe client is a market leader in the FMCG industry who are currently looking for a Customer Account Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. They will work closely with the Key Account Managers to further develop relationships with the client inorder to maintain, grow and acquire business both in the UK and internationally. This role is based in Royston, with hybrid working - and part time candidates can also be considered.DescriptionAs a Customer Account Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • Be the daily contact with the Key Accounts logistic team and to create day to day reporting on stock levels per item to optimise stock levels for all products
  • Work together with and support the Senior Key Account Manager to drive sales and profit through the account
  • Provide after sales support to the client
  • Gather information on assigned client (e.g. company size, needs, pricing, competitive analysis etc.)
  • Act as the go to person for all information and data on the client, both from internal and external enquiries
  • To help manage all aspects of the commercial negotiations, sales development and customer interface
  • Help prepare the customer meetings, the weekly tracker call meeting (in person or by Teams) with the retailer and do a contact report with key next steps and actions
  • Assist and create calculations for price setting through a pricing calculation system
  • Analyse the sales evolution vs. internal targets whilst also benchmarking against the market trends and identifying new opportunities/ actions
  • Reporting customer sales evolution, news and updated Key Account plans
Profile
  • This could be an ideal first role for a Graduate, or alternatively someone early on in their career looking for a new challenge
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Analytical ability - PC literate and able to crunch numbers, skilled in MS Office in particular competent in picking up skills using Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Diplomacy - must be able to handle apparent conflicting interests
  • Organised
  • Able to commute to Royston on a regular basis
