Job Description

Provectus Recruitment have partnered with a high-tech manufacturing business near Cambridge, that are leading the development and manufacture of specialist equipment used in the scientific research industry. This company work in a rapidly growing market, with a customer base that is spread across the world.As their products are entering the final stages of research & development, we have been asked to secure a Compliance Engineer, that will be responsible for ensuring that products are designed to meet regulatory requirements and conformance for Pharma/Chemistry industries.In return for your skills, you will be offered a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, dynamic company, that will value and promote your skills, as well as encourage your personal development and expansion of your capabilities.Key ResponsibilityThroughout the entire product development life-cycle, this person will be responsible for ensuring specifications are defined, risk assessments are completed, and that the entire development process is followed, enabling products to meet legal requirements.

  • Learning and applying regulatory standards for Chemistry/Pharma Sector CE/NRTL/GMP/GAMP/ATEX
  • Ensure all product designs and developments are compliant with the relevant regulations
  • Ensure standards are recorded & stored
  • Work with CE and NRTL notified bodies: UL, TUV, CSA
  • Conformance documentation
  • Application of EU Low Voltage, EMC, Machinery, RoHS, Reach, WEEE directives
  • Review tests and apply relevant certifications
  • Ensure procured parts meet relevant standards
  • Generally keeping on top of all compliance related workload, ensuring regulations are met
  • Candidate ProfileTo be considered for this role, candidates ideally need to have experience in the majority of the following areas:
  • Experienced with compliance and conformance in an industrial environment
  • Understanding of industrial electrical safety control methods and standards
  • CE certification/marking of products
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Confident presenting information where required
  • Working knowledge of GMP
  • Experience with product data management systems desired
  • GAMP for automation and control
