Job Description

Accounting Service Manager - £700 per day inside IR35 - 12 months (extension likely) - Hertfordshire - Hybrid - (1 day in the office week) - ASAP start - one stage virtual interview Yolk Recruitment are looking for an accounting service manager to work with a global leader in green technology and next generation technology built for the betterment of the world.The role reports to the Plant Finance Manager and leads the transactional processing finance team in plant and is ultimately responsible for an accurate and compliant trial balance at the plant.A key element of the role will involve identifying the causes of delays and issues and introduce process and data improvements.Responsible:

  • Lead the plant transactional activities ensuring an effective control environment, timely close & reporting.
  • Accountability for producing an accurate and complete trial balances and tax pack for the Plant covering the transactional processes and service towers of accounts payable; accounts receivable, transactional treasury and tax; metal and general ledger accounting.
  • Ensure the plant transactional finance teams deliver high quality services to agreed performance and cost targets, across these transactional finance processes.
  • Accountable for overall cash collections and consults with Plant Finance Manager and Credit Risk Manager on collection issues and bad debts.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment for all transaction processes managed in plants, with guidance from the plant compliance and controls lead.
  • Establishing supplier-customer relationships with Plant Finance Manager; Compliance & Controlling team and the Insights & Decision Support Team.
  • Act as a leading figure in change and continuous improvement within the plants transactional finance processes including implementation of innovative technologies, standard processes, process automation and productivity improvements.
  • Use your expertise in transactional finance processes and use this as a mechanism to upskill the plant finance team.
  • Lead liaison with external banks and the Treasury team as necessary regarding administration of Electronic Banking facility
  • BBBEE scorecard and reporting administration
  • Work with business transformation leaders in delivery of the finance vision and strategy, ensuring all Accounting Services projects meet key milestones and deliver to both time and budget.
Core Skills:
  • BCom Financial management, CA(SA) or CIMA
  • Substantial experience embedding compliance to accounting policies and controls in a global organisation.
Desirable Skills:
  • Substantial experience within Finance function preferably in the manufacturing environment
  • Significant experience in leading Finance Shared Services teams within a corporate environment.
  • Experience of chemicals / automotive industry
