Job Description

Job Title: Ukrainian-Speaking Teaching Assistant (TA)Location: Rotherham, South YorkshirePosition Type: Full-TimeAre you fluent in Ukrainian and passionate about education We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Ukrainian-speaking Teaching Assistant to join our partner school in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positiveimpact on the lives of students while supporting our diverse and vibrant school community.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Ukrainian-speaking students in various subjects, focusing on English language acquisition, mathematics, and other core subjects.
  • Assist in the development of tailored learning plans and resources to meet the specific needs of individual students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students from diverse backgrounds feel welcome and supported.
  • Assist with translation and communication between Ukrainian-speaking students, their parents, and school staff.
  • Support classroom management and provide assistance during classroom activities.
  • Promote a safe and respectful school environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in Ukrainian, with strong communication skills in English.
  • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is a plus.
  • A patient and caring personality with a passion for helping students succeed.
  • A strong sense of cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the needs of Ukrainian-speaking students and their families.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to undergo one.
